Fenglin Town borders Jiangxi Province and serves as the eastern gateway of Hubei. During the Warring States period, Wu Zixu trained his soldiers here, leaving behind the ruins of the Wu Zixu General Platform. Northern Song Dynasty poet Su Dongpo and Ming Dynasty top scholar Luo Hongxian both left precious calligraphic works here. Niuhu Spring Fish is one of the three famous fish in Hubei.

After planning, "Shitian Ancient Post" has a total investment of 303 million RMB, designed to 4A-level standards. The short-term plan covers 2012–2015, with an initial investment of 80 million RMB. The tourism layout is designed as a dragon head, phoenix tail, tiger back, bear waist, a central core, and a scenic belt, collectively referred to as "one core, one belt, four zones." The "dragon head" is the entrance of "Shitian Ancient Post," designed to ancient post station standards, featuring city walls, gate towers, sentry posts, and more.
