Wenfeng Pagoda in Baota Village

Wenfeng Pagoda in Baota Village Wenfeng Pagoda in Baota Village is located in Baota Village, Xingguo Town, Yangxin County. It was built in the 24th year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1819). This hexagonal, seven-story hollow brick pagoda features a pavilion-style structure and stands 29.72 meters tall. Each level is adorned with two alternating arched doors and two niches. Stone plaques engraved with regular script characters in intaglio, reading “Wenfeng Pagoda,” “Yinhong” (Leading Rainbow), “Lingyun” (Soaring Clouds), “Ningxia” (Gathering Rosy Clouds), “Yufeng” (Riding the Wind), and “Chongguang” (Rekindling Light), are embedded above the southern walls of the first to sixth stories. The pagoda boasts an elegant design and exquisite craftsmanship, making it a fine example of Wenfeng Pagodas in southeastern Hubei. (Fifth Batch)
