Yangxin Lotus Lake National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Lotus Lake Wetland Park is situated at the junction of the old and new urban areas of Yangxin County, adjacent to the provincial-level Wanghu Wetland Nature Reserve across the lake. It has a planned total area of 1,047.49 hectares, of which 892.21 hectares are wetlands, making up 85.2% of the total. The park is composed of natural lakes such as Lotus Lake, Daquan Lake, Lujia Dam Lake, and Shihuzhai Lake. It is divided into zones including a wetland conservation area, restoration and reconstruction area, education and exhibition area, rational use area, and management service area. As a freshwater lake wetland in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, it serves as an important foraging ground for rare waterfowl such as the little swan and the Eurasian spoonbill, and is also one of the primary foraging, breeding, and habitat areas for waterbirds like geese, ducks, herons, and gulls.

In recent years, the Yangxin County Party Committee and County Government have placed high importance on ecological civilization construction, establishing the "ecology-based county" development strategy. They have vigorously promoted the "Two Lakes and One Mountain" eco-tourism development pattern, continuously advanced the creation of a forestry demonstration county and an ecological county, and invested 500 million yuan to relocate polluting enterprises, demolish illegal structures along Lotus Lake, treat pollution sources, restore aquatic vegetation, and construct natural landscapes. To protect the environment of Lotus Lake Wetland Park, Yangxin County has built a sewage treatment plant for the Chengbei Industrial Park upstream of Lotus Lake, renovated the drainage network along the ring road, initiated the "Seven Lakes Connectivity" project in the middle and lower reaches of the Fuchi Basin, constructed control sluices for Lotus Lake and Daquan Lake, restructured the management system of Zhulin Pond Fish Farm, terminated the contract for pearl farming through external contracting at Daquan Lake, and successfully carried out equipment dismantling as scheduled, laying a solid foundation for the creation of a national-level wetland park.

The establishment of Lotus Lake National Wetland Park will play a positive role in effectively protecting and restoring the wetland ecosystem, wild flora and fauna resources and their habitats, promoting the rich culture of wetland ecology, and advancing the development of eco-tourism.
