Shihao Garden

Relying on the tomb of Liu Yuxi, the government of Xingyang City built a "AAAA"-level cultural theme park — Shihao Garden. The garden features four memorial venues with a total construction area of 1,600 m²; three lakes covering an area of approximately 25,000 m²; three plazas spanning 18,000 m² in area; and five memorial pavilions. Thirteen memorial archways have been constructed along the main roads and plazas, guiding visitors through twelve archways representing different locations from the poet’s life — Xingyang Archway, Lianzhou Archway, Hozhou Archway, Langzhou Archway, Suzhou Archway, Kuizhou Archway, Ruzhou Archway, and Tongzhou Archway — tracing the trajectory of the poet’s life. There are also four sculptures, including a massive dragon sculpture on the north plaza that is 170 meters long and 15 meters high, built along the natural terrain. Additionally, there are three fountains and eight landscape features. Throughout the garden, one can find stone carvings and couplets of Liu Yuxi’s poetry and prose, inscribed by renowned calligraphers. Zhang Hai, Chairman of the China Calligraphers Association, inscribed the name of the Yu Xi Garden.
