On the morning of July 3, the "Embracing the High-Speed Rail Era – Guiyang (Beijing) Tourism Promotion Conference" was grandly held at the Avic Hotel in Beijing. Representatives from the Guiyang Municipal Government, Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, Ctrip, Tujia.com, and others attended. Officials from Ctrip and Tujia.com, along with Zeng Xiao Zhu, Deputy Director of the Guiyang Municipal Commission of Tourism Industry Development, signed the "Heart to Guiyang, Journey Together" Large-Scale Affordable Travel Campaign Cooperation Agreement, launching a ticket-registration coupon giveaway to support a major tourism promotion for the public.
Wang Yu Xiang, Vice Mayor of Guiyang, gave a detailed introduction at the promotion conference to the unique climatic advantages and distinctive tourism and cultural resources of "Cool Guiyang." He expressed hope that this promotion would help everyone learn about the beautiful scenery, mysterious culture, and enchanting landscapes of Guiyang, known as the "Summer Capital." A promotional video showcasing Guiyang’s city image was played, highlighting the unique charm of its natural landscape characterized by "spectacular mountains, beautiful waters, exquisite rocks, and marvelous caves."

It is reported that on July 1, the national railway will implement a new train schedule, and Guiyang will operate high-speed EMU trains directly to Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan, Nanjing, Wuhan, and other destinations for the first time. The high-speed EMUs will take only 3 to 12 hours to reach Changsha, as fast as 8 hours and 41 minutes to Beijing, and as quick as 8 hours and 56 minutes to Shanghai. This significantly reduces the time and space distance between Guiyang and other regions. This large-scale tourism promotion conference aims to bring Guiyang’s cool climate and rich tourism offerings directly to travelers, attracting more visitors to take the high-speed rail and enjoy a leisurely trip to Guiyang.
