Tomb of Li Shangyin

The Tomb of Li Shangyin is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhengzhou City.

The Tomb of Li Shangyin is located approximately 500 meters southeast of Muxuwa Natural Village, Ershilipu Administrative Village, Yulong Town, Xingyang City. The tomb mound is lower in the east and higher in the west, shaped like a coffin, measuring 10.4 meters in length from east to west, about 10 meters in width from north to south, around 4 meters in height, and 45 meters in circumference. At the base on the southwest side of the tomb mound, there is a narrow opening just large enough for one person to enter. Though it looks like a passage, it is actually a hiding hole dug into the side of the mound by local residents in the mid-20th century to take shelter from war. Li Shangyin was a renowned poet of the late Tang Dynasty, whose works often reflected real life and exposed the incompetence, corruption, and infighting of feudal rulers. This tomb holds significant value for the study of the social history and development of the late Tang Dynasty.
