• The Hall of Samantabhadra houses a statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, who symbolizes wisdom in practice and virtuous conduct. Together with Manjushri Bodhisattva and Sakyamuni Buddha, they are known as the "Three Saints of Huayan."

Attraction Introduction

The Hall of Samantabhadra is located to the west of the Standing-in-Snow Pavilion, facing the Hall of Manjushri. It has three bays and enshrines a statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. On the northern wall inside the hall is a jade carving of Amitabha Buddha, which dates back to the Ming Dynasty and features exquisite craftsmanship. This statue was previously kept in the Thousand Buddha Hall for a long time and was moved to this hall in 1996.

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva symbolizes wisdom in practice and virtuous conduct, corresponding to the wisdom and uprightness represented by Manjushri Bodhisattva. Together with Manjushri Bodhisattva and Sakyamuni Buddha, they are called the "Three Saints of Huayan." Samantabhadra Bodhisattva rides a six-tusked white elephant, symbolizing his vast vows and boundless merit.
