7Month18Day, at the foot of the beautiful Songshan Mountain,2017National Youth Outdoor Camp Summer Camp(Henan Station)has officially opened. The summer camp is jointly organized by the Youth Sports Department of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education of the Ministry of Education, and hosted by the Chinese Mountaineering Association, the Henan Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Henan Provincial Department of Education. A total of21provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions including Beijing, Hainan, Sichuan, and Jiangsu, sent323youths, team leaders, coaches, and staff members forming36teams to participate.

At8o'clock30and2017minutes, the official opening ceremony of the summer camp began, with all campers, team leaders, and coaches lining up in order according to their respective provinces. Cao Rongwu, Secretary-General of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Mountaineering Association, Wang Peng, Deputy Director of the Henan Provincial Sports Bureau, Li Jinchuan, Inspector of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, Peng Gang, Deputy Director of the Youth Sports Division of the Henan Provincial Sports Bureau, Gao Xiang, Associate Researcher of the Physical, Health and Arts Education Division of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, Shi Zhansheng, Vice Mayor of Dengfeng City, and Zhu Quanqi, Chairman of the Songshan Outdoor Activity Camp (Songshan Legend), the Henan Station of the National Youth Outdoor Activity Camp, attended the opening ceremony. The launch of this summer camp on our site marks2017the official start of the National Youth Outdoor Camp Activities. Over the next2months, Fujian, Sichuan, Gansu, and Inner Mongolia will successively host various legs of the National Youth Outdoor Camp Summer Camps, each themed around local characteristics. The National Youth Outdoor Camp Conference will then be held in8[Month]21-25[Day] in Beijing. We believe that with the continuous development of youth outdoor camps in China, more young people will be able to participate in these activities and enjoy the benefits they bring.
