Jingdian Martyrs' Cemetery

Jingdian Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhengzhou City.

Jingdian Martyrs' Cemetery is located in the eastern part of Jingdian Village, Ludian Town, Dengfeng City, on the west side of Henan Provincial Highway 03. The cemetery houses the remains of 69 martyrs, all of whom were soldiers of the 77th Regiment, 9th Column, Second Field Army of the People's Liberation Army under the command of Commander Liu Bocheng. In 1954, two more martyrs were relocated here from Jiaohe Brigade of Chengguan Commune and Daye Commune, making a total of 73. Later, the families of 33 martyrs relocated their remains back to their hometowns, leaving 40 martyr tombs at the site. Each tomb is marked with a bluestone stele measuring 0.30 meters in height, 0.18 meters in width, and 0.085 meters in thickness, inscribed with the martyr’s place of origin, name, and military position in regular script. In 2013, the Dengfeng Civil Affairs Bureau acquired over 10 acres of land west of the original cemetery to establish the Dengfeng Martyrs' Cemetery. The original graves were moved to the new area, and a martyrs' memorial monument was erected. Jingdian Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of those who sacrificed their lives during the Dengmi Campaign of the Liberation War. It serves as an excellent site for revolutionary history education and holds significant historical and educational value.
