Yanjiao Town: The name Yanjiao comes from the Spring and Autumn period when the area was located in the suburbs of the capital of the State of Yan. In the early years of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty, an imperial palace was built here, earning it the reputation of “at the foot of the emperor, with a palace fit for royalty.” Yanjiao Town is situated in the western part of Sanhe City, bordering Dachang Hui Autonomous County of Hebei Province to the east and south, adjacent to Gaolou Town of the same city to the north and northeast, and facing Tongzhou District of Beijing across the Chaobai River to the west.

The seat of the People’s Government of Yanjiao Town is located in Xinggong Village. It is 25 kilometers east of downtown Sanhe and 334 kilometers south of Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital.
