The Li Shaochun Memorial Hall is a cultural facility primarily serving the functions of "celebrity commemoration, artistic research, and tourism & leisure." Planned and authored by a renowned opera critic, the construction of the Li Shaochun Memorial Hall incorporated suggestions from the family of Li Shaochun as well as guidance from distinguished opera performers. The memorial hall consists of three main parts: the VIP Lounge, the Classical Miniature Theater, and the Exhibition Halls. Among them, the VIP Lounge displays inscriptions from experts who attended symposiums, fully reflecting the support and admiration that people from all walks of life have for Li Shaochun’s Peking Opera art. The Memorial Hall’s Preface Hall is located to the south of the front lobby, and through a collection of precious historical materials, it introduces the artistic life and personal journey of Li Shaochun’s father. It also showcases the deep connection between the Li family and the fertile ground of “Yanzhao Pear Garden.” The miniature theater in the Li Shaochun Memorial Hall is highly favored by visitors. The small theater is an ancillary facility within the memorial hall, serving as a venue for opera research, performance practice, leisure entertainment, and opera-related studies. Moreover, the small theater is designed in the basic style of both imperial and folk opera houses, giving off an elegant and classic appearance. Additionally, the small theater is equipped with a stage, VIP boxes, and theater-style tea seating, featuring top-tier sound and lighting facilities in China.
