Ancient Ancestral Hall of Gecun Village

The ancient ancestral hall of Gecun Village is a cultural tourism attraction.

The ancient ancestral hall of Gedacun in Tang’erli was built in 1750, covering a construction area of 1,600 square meters. The structure consists of a gate deity, a hallway, east and west wing rooms, and a main hall. In the courtyard, there are ancient locust trees, cypress trees, and a stone stele erected in the 26th year of the Qianlong reign. The architectural style is brick-and-wood from the Qing Dynasty. It is currently one of the more intact ancient ancestral halls in the city and holds high preservation value.

Due to the ten-year turmoil of the Cultural Revolution, the southern room of the ancestral hall was demolished, the brick walls of the main hall and hallway suffered from alkali erosion, the roof leaked, and the painted decorations became blurred. In April 2004, the ancestral hall underwent restoration, which largely restored its original appearance.
