Bamboo Grove Temple is a well-known Taoist site in Ruzhou City, covering an area of approximately 10,000 square meters. Nestled between gullies and surrounded by lush greenery, with mountains encircling and waters embracing it, the temple complex features majestic halls. The main hall enshrines statues of Guanyin (the Goddess of Mercy), the Queen Mother of the West, and the Child-Giving Guanyin, flanked by the Gate Guardians Heng and Ha. The entire architecture presents a solemn and imposing presence, with vividly realistic statues, dignified expressions, serene and peaceful countenances, attracting a continuous stream of worshippers and visitors. "Bamboo Grove in the heavens, Shaolin on earth" — legend has it that Bamboo Grove Temple corresponds to the Shaolin Temple. Although the temple was originally a Buddhist site, Bamboo Grove Temple, despite being called a "temple," is actually a sacred Taoist destination, full of curious oddities. The main structures of Bamboo Grove Temple include the Hell Palace, Guanyin Hall, Arhat Hall, Three Immortal Mothers Hall, Wuji Mother Hall, King Yama Hall, Jade Emperor Tower, and Duti Tower.
