Miaoshui Temple

Miaoshui Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province.

Miaoshui Temple is located at the southern foot of Baiyun Mountain in Guanmiao Village, Linru Town, western Ruzhou City, Henan Province.

The spring water of Miaoshui Temple flows like a jade ribbon, rushing southward to irrigate tens of thousands of acres of fertile farmland. The land here has been fertile since ancient times and has long served as the main grain and cotton production area of Ruzhou. The "Record of the Restoration of Miaoshui Temple" praises it as: "Embracing the Ru River to the south, nourished by mist and dew; backed by Qiongling Mountain to the north, majestic under the Dipper and Ox constellations; facing Ruzhou City to the east, with its city walls in array; overlooking Yique (Gateway Gorge) to the west, with a thousand peaks standing like a screen." It is "surrounded by pine and bamboo on the outside, with spring water gushing from within." Historically known as "the scenic highlight of southern Luoyang," in 2006, Miaoshui Temple was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.
