The Yuzhou Xuanhe Ceramics Museum is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Xuanhe Ceramics Museum is situated in the middle section of Yuwang Avenue in Yuzhou City, covering an area of 3,600 square meters. Approved by the Henan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and officially registered with the Yuzhou Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, it is the first privately-run ceramics museum in Xuchang City. With a mission to protect and inherit Yuzhou’s rich ceramic heritage, and a purpose to preserve, exhibit, and introduce historical relics while absorbing and promoting the essence of artistic and cultural traditions from ancient to modern times, the museum offers the public a comprehensive and systematic showcase of the history of ancient Chinese ceramics as well as the development of Yuzhou’s ceramic industry. It promotes the splendid culture of Yuzhou and is dedicated to exploration and development in the cultural field. Moreover, the museum has made significant innovations in glaze formulations and production techniques, striving to create captivating Jun porcelain art masterpieces that have received high praise from both Jun porcelain enthusiasts and experts.

Located on the banks of the Ying River in the heart of China, the Yuzhou Xuanhe Ceramics Museum embodies the profound cultural heritage of the Central Plains. It gathers these treasures under one roof, aiming to fully revive the past glory and unspoiled beauty of the ancient Yinchuan Prefecture.

Covering an area of over 3,000 square meters, the Yuzhou Xuanhe Ceramics Museum is divided into five exhibition halls.

The collection spans various periods of ancient art from the Neolithic Age onwards, with particularly rich holdings of ancient ceramic artworks from the Tang, Song, and Yuan dynasties. All five of China’s famous kilns and eight major kiln systems are represented, along with multiple other categories including stone carvings, calligraphy and paintings, and miscellaneous items. Among the exhibits, two Song Dynasty Jun official kiln drum-pattern wash basins are considered the museum’s prized treasures, and they are the only two intact Jun official kiln pieces in any museum in the Central Plains region.
