Danjiangkou Lake Baxian Cave Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Baxian Cave is located on the eastern bank near the Danjiang Small Three Gorges. It features typical karst landforms, with vast and mysterious caves that are interconnected, each forming a unique scene. Stalagmites stand like forests, and stalactites hang upside down in diverse and lifelike postures, creating a fairyland-like atmosphere. Legend has it that the Eight Immortals once practiced here. The cave includes attractions such as the Immortals' Gathering Hall, Penglai Pavilion, and Yao Lin Fairyland.

The most captivating feature of the cave is its stalactites. These uniquely shaped, surreal stalactite formations are surrounded by colorful, flickering lights, giving off a glistening glow that adds endless charm to Baxian Cave. Some resemble a peacock spreading its tail, others an elephant playing in water; some look like the whimsical and solemn Zhang Guolao, others like the half-drunken Tieguaili; some resemble waterfalls cascading from high peaks, others like snow lotuses on icy mountains... Interestingly, some naturally formed patterns in Baxian Cave closely resemble the figures of the Eight Immortals. Coupled with the widely told tale of "The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, Each Displaying Their Divine Powers" that is popular along the banks of the Danjiang River, this adds an even more mysterious aura to the cave.
