Dengzhou Tuanhe National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Tuanhe National Wetland Park is located on the northern side of Dengzhou City, known as the "Land of Abundance in the Central Plains" and the "Pearl of the Dan River." Centered around the Tuanhe River, which flows from northwest to southeast, the park covers an area of 1,699.7 hectares with a total investment of over 100 million yuan. The field surveys, internal documentation, and overall planning for the Tuanhe Wetland Park have now been completed. The park is home to 880 species of vascular plants and 256 species of vertebrates. The completion of the wetland park will surely create a destination for both residents and tourists to connect with nature and enjoy leisure activities.

The Tuanbei New District, where the wetland park is located, focuses on constructing an administrative service center. Following the development concept of ecological livability and the integration of industry and urban areas, it aims to build a modern city district with European architectural style. An investment of 130 million yuan has been made to construct two river-crossing bridges; 210 million yuan has been invested in building three horizontal and three vertical roads; the Tuanbei Riverside Avenue and the scenic belt along the Tuanhe River have been completed; efforts have been accelerated to relocate party and government agencies and public institutions northward, driving the development of catering, culture, real estate, and other industries. By 2015, it is aimed to basically complete public service facilities in the Tuanbei New District, including urban roads, water supply, separate stormwater and sewage systems, administrative management, community services, healthcare, education, culture and sports, finance and telecommunications, thereby establishing Dengzhou’s new urban center that combines comprehensive administration with ecological livability.
