Fangshan Qin-Han Tombs Cluster is a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Nanyang City.

Fangshan Qin-Han Tombs Cluster, a municipal-level cultural heritage site. Located 11.5 kilometers southeast of the city, on the north side of Fangshan Group, Fangying Village, Yaodian. The burial ground is a sandy mound, stretching 1,500 meters in length and 800 meters in width, rising about 8 meters above the ground. According to preliminary findings by cultural relics authorities, there are numerous tombs dating from the Warring States period to the Han Dynasty, yielding a wealth of artifacts, commonly including bronze garlic-head ewers, bronze tripods, gray pottery cocoon-shaped ewers, pottery dogs, pottery chickens, pottery ducks, and more. In 1979, local residents discovered the remnants of a hollow brick portrait tomb, identified as an early Eastern Han Dynasty burial. Two large hollow brick portraits were unearthed. One measures 1.32 meters in length and 0.25 meters in width, while the other is 1.30 meters long, 0.24 meters wide, and 0.15 meters thick. Both bricks are made of pottery, molded, hollow, and feature red-painted designs on the front, along with carved images of gate attendants below. The molding technique used is relief carving with a recessed background. The compositions are novel, the lines fluid, and the craftsmanship refined, providing valuable physical evidence for the study of Han Dynasty art history and burial customs.
