The Chahan Nur Grassland within the county, also known as Wutai Grassland, lies against the backdrop of Chahan Nur Lake. With its shimmering waters, lush grass, singing birds, fragrant flowers, picturesque scenery, and pleasant climate, it is an ideal destination for cooling off, sightseeing, and vacationing. Covering an area of approximately 139,000 mu, it is the largest natural grassland on the southern edge of the Inner Mongolia Plateau and ranks as Hebei’s premier grassland. The Wutai Mongolian Camp, the only Mongolian settlement in Hebei that preserves the traditional production, lifestyle, language, script, and customs of the Mongolian people, is located here. The beautiful grassland and the simple ethnic charm together form a magnificent scene. The grassland singers—like the skylark—and the famous edible fungi grow in this vibrant green expanse.
