Houyuwang Site

The Houyuwang Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Houyuwang Site is located about [distance] meters east of Houyuwang Village, [distance] li west of the county town, forming a round mound-like elevation. It rises [height range] meters above the ground. The site stretches [length] meters from north to south and [width] meters from east to west, covering a total area of [area] square meters. To the south, [distance] li away, lies the Ying River. The eastern and northern parts are open land. Cultural relics surveys indicate that the cultural layer is about [thickness] meters thick. The upper part contains Han Dynasty tombs, mostly built with hollow bricks and interlocking bricks. Burial objects include sandy gray pottery, clay gray pottery, clay black pottery, and polished gray pottery—such as black pottery tripods, polished surfaces, folded feet, bulging bellies, and two ears on the outside. There are also gray sandy boxes and ring-footed, hollow high-necked jars. The lower layer includes ash pits and red-fired earth blocks, belonging to the Dawenkou and Erlitou cultures, with the upper layers extending to the Shang, Zhou, and Han Dynasties.
