The Ten-Thousand-Mu Ecological Leisure, Sightseeing, and Picking Garden project in Tumu Town is bordered by the northern extension of the Yanshan Mountain Range to the north, County Road Chenhei to the east, and both the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Highway and National Highway 110 to the west and south. With convenient transportation and distinct regional advantages, it is a comprehensive ecological agriculture project integrating modern agriculture, sightseeing agriculture, facility agriculture, water-saving agriculture, and rural culture.

The picking garden covers a planned area of 11,000 mu and is divided into four functional zones. The fruit picking zone primarily features traditional and specialty fruits of the county, including ten sightseeing agricultural areas such as jujube orchards, apple orchards, pear orchards, grape orchards, and strawberry solar greenhouse gardens. Currently, 50 greenhouse sheds have been built in the strawberry solar greenhouse garden. The leisure zone integrates dining, accommodation, and entertainment facilities, offering rustic farm cottages, standard guest rooms, green ecological restaurants, and more. It allows visitors to fully relax while enjoying delicious food, fine wine, and beautiful scenery, experiencing the joy of returning to simplicity. The seedling cultivation zone collaborates with agricultural colleges and universities within the province and beyond to conduct experiments on the production of pollution-free agricultural products, providing planting technical services and showcasing new products for the entire garden. The fruit processing and storage zone carries out deep processing of fruits within the garden, producing fruit-based products, and offers a one-stop service for processing and sales. These four functional zones combine road landscapes with regionally distinctive and ecologically diverse landscapes to form an extensive garden recreation system.

Once completed, the sightseeing and picking garden project will not only reverse the current situation of undeveloped, barren land and relatively low economic benefits in the northern part of our town, but also promote and drive the further development of the surrounding economy and the town’s overall socio-economic growth. It will become the best destination for leisure and entertainment and an ideal place for tourism and sightseeing.

Tumu Town: Located in the eastern part of Huailai County, Tumu Town is 95 kilometers from Beijing. It covers a total area of 93.54 square kilometers, with a total cultivated land area of 51,942 mu.
