Dangdao Terraces

The Dangdao Terraces are a Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Dangdao Terraces are located in Guocheng Town, Haiyang City, dating from the Ming Dynasty to the People's Republic of China.

On June 23, 2015, the Dangdao Terraces were designated as part of the fifth batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the Shandong Provincial People's Government.

Guocheng Town: Guocheng Town covers a total area of 156.8 square kilometers. It administers 72 administrative villages, with a total population of 47,000 at the end of 2002, including 1,306 non-agricultural residents. In 2002, the town's total rural economic income was 590 million yuan, with local fiscal revenue reaching 6.54 million yuan. The gross domestic product was 190 million yuan. The average grain yield per mu was 214 kilograms, with a total output of 20 million kilograms. The total agricultural output value was 75.47 million yuan, including 54.43 million yuan from crop farming, 5.35 million yuan from fruit and forestry, and 15.69 million yuan from animal husbandry.
