Laizhou Thousand Buddha Pavilion

Laizhou Thousand Buddha Pavilion is a cultural tourism attraction.

Laizhou Thousand Buddha Pavilion Amusement Park, located on Wenhua East Road in the urban area, integrates entertainment, shopping, and leisure. It is rated as an A-level scenic spot. The main attractions include the Memorial Archway, Thousand Buddha Hall, Arhat Hall, City God Temple, Confucius Temple, Four Gentlemen’s Shrine, Wenshan Hill, and the animal zone. The Thousand Buddha Hall houses a statue of the Thousand-Handed and Thousand-Eyed Bodhisattva, accompanied by figures such as Sudhana, Dragon Girl, Skanda, and Hārītī.

The three temples use exquisitely crafted models to recreate the old temple structures, and display cultural relics from the Tang and Song dynasties outside the halls, offering visitors an eye-opening experience. The Four Gentlemen’s Shrine features statues of Yang Zhen, a clean and upright magistrate of Laizhou during the Qing Dynasty; Zhu Wannian, a loyal and unyielding prefect who was willing to sacrifice himself for the city; Mao Ji, an incorruptible and principled Grand Secretary of the Eastern Library; and Zhang Xin and his son Zhang Rui, who oversaw the renovation of the Thousand Buddha Pavilion.
