Scenic Area Title: Rural Tourism (Shandong Province Featured Tourism Village)

Nan Cuijia Village, Wenfenglu Subdistrict, Laizhou City, is located 4 kilometers south of Laizhou City, at the western foot of Wenfeng Mountain. It currently has a population of 448 people, covers an area of 900 mu, and has 620 mu of arable land. The area features hilly terrain, and its geological landscape and climate are particularly conducive to fruit tree growth. Since the reform and opening up, the villagers of Nan Cuijia have responded to the Party's call, pursued the path of prosperity through hard work, and vigorously developed distinctive forestry and fruit industries. Today, the village grows 600 mu of cherries, yielding 900,000 kilograms of high-quality cherries annually, and 50 mu of pomegranates, yielding 100,000 kilograms of high-quality pomegranates annually. Due to geographical advantages, the fresh fruits hit the market five to seven days earlier than those in surrounding villages. With the opening of the Weiwu Expressway, as well as the widening and opening of the Sanlan Line and the Wenfengshan Circular Road, the over 300 mu of land north of the expressway has become a golden triangle for commercial and economic development. The village offers a wealth of tourism resources, including cherry picking, ecological development on the southern mountain, leisure fishing at the reservoir, cultural exploration in the pomegranate orchard, and sampling of farmhouse meals, making it an integral part of the Wenfengshan tourist resort.

Starting from the Cuijia Intersection north of the expressway in Wenfenglu Subdistrict, Laizhou City, you will directly enter the Nan Cuijia Industrial Park, which covers an area of over 20,000 square meters. More than ten enterprises primarily engaged in mechanical processing are located here, leading the trend of machinery manufacturing in eastern Shandong. Traveling 500 meters east along the main street of the industrial park and then heading south through the Gaodu Road overpass, you will enter the "Thousand-Mu Cherry Demonstration Garden" of Nan Cuijia. At the entrance of the cherry demonstration garden stands a wooden archway, on which the six golden characters “Nan Cuijia Cherry Garden” are inscribed in clerical script by the chairman of the Laizhou Calligraphers Association. Passing through the gate and walking east along the road, you will see neatly arranged wooden gates. Outside the gates, fragrant flowers fill the air, while inside, the scent of cherries wafts through. The garden produces 900,000 kilograms of high-quality “Yunfeng Immortal Fruit Brand” cherries annually, attracting over 10,000 clients and more than 100,000 visitors who come to experience cherry picking. May 22nd each year is the Yunfeng Cherry Festival, a bustling day when visitors enjoy the pleasure of picking, savor the sweetness of the cherries and the aroma of farmhouse meals, and experience the joy of the people of Wenfeng Mountain. Traveling 800 meters east, then looping west and heading south, you will come across the ancient pomegranate garden of Nan Cuijia. The pomegranate trees in the garden are twisted and varied in shape, each uniquely formed. The “Laizhou Prefecture Records” state that the pomegranates produced here were once tributes to the Qing court. In May, the pomegranate blossoms blaze like fire, creating a delightful scene, while in August, the pomegranates ripen, revealing their jewel-like beauty. Take a bite, and the sweet with a hint of sourness will make your mouth water. Visiting the ancient pomegranate garden and experiencing the scenic splendor enjoyed by emperors of old is truly refreshing and uplifting. Exiting the pomegranate garden and traveling 100 meters east, then heading south along a rural path, you will come upon a body of clear blue water — the Nan Cuijia Reservoir. Covering over 100 mu, the reservoir’s water comes from the Shenxian Cave, and its water is acclaimed by many as “immortal water.” The reservoir is known as the “Immortal Pool.” Legend has it that Emperor Taizu of the Song Dynasty once fished here and caught a ten-jin koi. The spot still exists today and is called “Liangdiaotai.” Traveling east along the water and following the source, you can head south to reach Shenxian Cave or north to Wenfeng Mountain. Nan Cuijia is like a shining pearl nestled within the lush greenery and clear waters of Wenfeng Mountain, well worth a visit.

Drive 31.6 kilometers along the Yantai-Xinxing Expressway, exit at the Laizhou/Pingdu exit to enter the Laizhou Interchange, drive 1.0 kilometer along the Laizhou Interchange, head in the direction of Pingdu, turn slightly right, drive 230 meters along the Laizhou Interchange, turn right into S218, drive 450 meters along S218, turn left, drive 230 meters, turn left slightly after passing Guojiabridge Village by about 180 meters, drive 610 meters to reach the destination (on the right side of the road).
