The Chen Family in the Mountains is located in Jinling Town, Zhaoyuan City, 7 kilometers from downtown Zhaoyuan. It sits at the southern end of Wuyun Mountain, surrounded by peaks. The village has 172 households and a population of 506, all of whom are Han Chinese. It covers a total area of 3 square kilometers, with residential areas occupying 260 mu, arable land exceeding 600 mu, and orchards spanning over 300 mu. There are a total of more than 4,000 mu of mountainous land, surrounded by mountains on three sides, with the village nestled in the embrace of the hills. From a distance, the mountains are lush and green, particularly rich in pine forests. The air contains a wealth of negative oxygen ions, making it fresh and earning the nickname "natural oxygen bar." A mountain spring runs from top to bottom through the entire village. The water is crystal clear and sweet to the taste. It not only sustains generations of villagers but, nourished by the spring, the mountains are covered with green pines, cypresses, wildflowers, and host birds such as greenfinches, turtle doves, wild ducks, and pheasants. The vegetables and fruits grown here are also thriving, including millet, chestnuts, peaches, walnuts, persimmons, apples, corn, wild jujubes, and more, all available for harvest throughout the seasons. In addition, the mountain forests are home to nearly 100 kinds of medicinal herbs, most of which have significant medicinal value, giving the area the title of "Hundred Herbs of the Spirit Mountain." Meanwhile, the northern peak of Wuyun Mountain closely resembles the Maitreya Buddha. From afar, both its outline and shape are incredibly lifelike, as if it watches over the village beneath it.

The villagers of Chen Family in the Mountains are simple and honest, with traditional folk customs and historic houses well preserved. There are over 30 residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as from the Republic of China era in eastern Shandong, which enrich the historical depth of the village and give it a strong cultural atmosphere. Currently, Yantai Jinling Renjia Tourism Development Company has developed various projects in the village, including a “Folk Museum,” “Red Memorial Hall,” “Family Farm,” “Vegetable Picking Garden,” “Jinling Renjia Drama Troupe,” “Oxygen Bar Stroll,” “Ecological Breeding and Farming Base,” and “Real-life CS.” These attractions have received widespread praise from visitors.

By Car:

For travelers from Weihai or Yantai: Take the Rongwu Expressway, exit at Exit 6. After exiting, drive straight for about 15 minutes, then continue straight for another 1,000 meters after seeing the “Shanshang Lijia” stone tablet, and turn left to enter.

For travelers from Qingdao: Take the Yanqing First-Class Highway, pass through Laixi, then turn onto Huangshui Road. Turn left after seeing the “Tian Di Jin Hun” sculpture, drive straight along Hot Spring Road, turn into Wensan Line via Golden Pavilion, drive straight for 10 minutes, then continue straight for another 1,000 meters after seeing the “Shanshang Lijia” stone tablet, and turn left to enter.

For travelers from Jinan: Take the Jiqing Expressway, then transfer to the Weilai Expressway, followed by the Rongwu Expressway, and exit at Zhaoyuan West (Exit 6). After exiting, drive straight for about 18 minutes, then continue straight for another 1,000 meters after seeing the “Shanshang Lijia” stone tablet, and turn left to enter.
