Duofu Mountain Tourist Area

The Duofu Mountain Tourist Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Duofu Mountain Tourist Area is a comprehensive holiday resort integrating the cultures of Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and medicine, developed and expanded from the original Duofu Mountain Scenic Area. It was invested in and constructed by Weihai Duofu Mountain Tourism Development Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 600 million yuan. The project aligns with the municipal government’s initiatives of “Oriental Happy Coast” and “Land of Human Habitation and Blessings,” using the culture of “blessings” as its theme to allow more people to perceive, experience, and enjoy a “life full of blessings.” The entire scenic area centers around Duofu Mountain, with the Silver Beach and the ocean as its backdrop, and focuses on traditional Chinese wellness culture. It forms an integrated experiential mountain wellness tourism zone that faces the sea and embraces the mountains, encompassing wellness holidays, sightseeing and leisure, cultural experiences, and tourism real estate. Through the development of diversified tourism products and innovative tourism real estate operations, the Duofu Mountain Tourist Area has become a new engine for transforming the development pattern of Silver Beach and upgrading the Silver Beach Tourist Resort into a “Coastal Tourism Town.” It also serves as a new driving force for boosting the tourism industry in Rushan City, and an important node in Weihai’s “Oriental Happy Coast” and even Shandong’s “Golden Coast.”

The entire tourist area is divided into seven zones, as follows:

1. Entrance Comprehensive Service Zone: Located on the southern side of the tourist area, it enjoys convenient transportation links with the Silver Beach Tourist Resort and features relatively flat terrain. It mainly hosts projects providing comprehensive tourism services for visitors.

2. Meditation and Wellness Zone: This zone extends from the northern part of the Entrance Comprehensive Service Zone to the foot of the main peak of Duofu Mountain. With relatively gentle slopes, it lies against the mountains and beside the water, boasting excellent scenery. The Foguang Chan Temple is currently under construction here. Leveraging the existing Foguang Chan Temple, the area develops “meditation” spaces and “mind-nourishing” programs, aiming to achieve “wellness” through “mind cultivation.”

3. Traditional Chinese Medicine Wellness Park: Situated on the eastern slope of the tourist area, it lies against the mountains and faces the sea, making it highly suitable for wellness activities. The focus is on arranging projects related to traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese wellness practices, wellness real estate, and relevant conferences and exhibitions, comprehensively developing various sectors such as the wellness health industry, conference and exhibition industry, leisure and holiday industry, and real estate.

4. Mountain Sightseeing and Recreation Zone: This includes the main peak of Duofu Mountain and the mountainous area to its west. The Bixia Yuanjun Temple is already built here, and an annual temple fair is held. Making full use of the mountain’s topography and folk culture, the zone develops sightseeing and recreation, folk experience, leisure activities, and mountain hiking fitness programs. The emphasis is on leveraging the advantage of being the highest peak in Silver Beach to create an iconic landscape for the tourist area, attracting visitors and expanding the market.

5. Wellness Real Estate Zone: Located to the south of the Mountain Sightseeing and Recreation Zone, this area consists of mountainous terrain with layered landscapes and a tranquil environment. It serves as a hub for tourism real estate.

6. Logistics and Management Zone: This is a relatively flat, small parcel of land situated between the Entrance Comprehensive Service Zone and the Wellness Real Estate Zone, designated for logistics and management purposes. It primarily provides logistical support and comprehensive management services for the tourist area.

7. Phase II Development Land: Located on the western slope of the tourist area, this project zone borders the Mountain Sightseeing and Recreation Zone and the Wellness Real Estate Zone to the east, and is close to the boundaries of the tourist area to the north, west, and south. It serves as reserved land for future expansion of the tourist area.
