Lanling County Museum

Lanling County Museum is located on the western section of Shunhe Road in the county town, to the east of the north gate of Lanling National Agricultural Park. It covers a construction area of 18,000 square meters, with an exhibition area of 6,000 square meters, and a total investment of 40 million yuan. It was built in conjunction with the Lanling County Historical and Cultural Exhibition Hall, and includes three specialized exhibition halls—the Han Dynasty Stone Reliefs, the Great Confucians Gallery, and the Lanling Ink Art—as well as a general history hall titled “Lan with the Fragrance of the Nation.” The general history hall is divided into nine sections: Ancient Times, Xia-Shang-Zhou Dynasties, Qin-Han Dynasties, Wei-Jin-Northern and Southern Dynasties, Sui-Tang-Five Dynasties, Song-Liao-Jin-Yuan Dynasties, Ming-Qing Dynasties, the Republic of China, and the People’s Republic of China, plus one temporary exhibition hall. The museum currently houses a collection of 10,776 cultural relics, with over 1,200 (sets) displayed, and more than 100 historical and cultural exhibits. The collection spans from prehistoric times to various periods of the Republic of China, featuring typical local characteristics and high archaeological research value.
