Dasha Ruins

The Dasha Ruins are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Dasha Ruins date from the Longshan Culture to the Shang and Zhou periods. Located in Hefang Subdistrict, Huimin County, they were discovered in 1973. Artifacts found include white pottery gui and black pottery vessels from the Longshan Culture, as well as red pottery fragments mixed with sand, river deer teeth, antlers, and other bone tools from the Shang and Zhou periods. In 1978, the “Four Haves” work team of the former Huimin Region collected some artifact samples, including bird-beak-shaped gray pottery tripod leg pieces, coarse rope-patterned pottery li tripods, coarse rope-patterned gray pottery jars mixed with sand, pottery dou stems, gray pottery jars, and stone tool fragments. In December 1977, they were announced as part of the first batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units.
