Mingde Cultural Garden

To highlight the culture of the Ming Dynasty, enhance the city’s taste, and boost its charm, a cultural garden themed around the history and culture of Linyi was built with an investment of 200 million yuan. Covering an area of 186,000 square meters, it integrates culture, leisure, and tourism. The entire garden is designed around a lake fountain, large squares, surrounding greenery, a central sculpture, and 21 cultural pillars as its core elements. It is planted with precious tree species such as five-pointed maple, ginkgo, crabapple, and white pine, creating lush, well-layered landscaping. The northern part is dominated by the lake, featuring main structures such as square pavilions, double-eave hexagonal pavilions, arched bridges, and winding bridges, along with landscape facilities like a large musical fountain, waterside platforms, corridors, and ornamental stone pillars. The southern part centers on a central square, which includes a performance platform, a cultural theme garden, and distinctive features such as the “Harmony Tripod” thematic sculpture, cultural landscape pillars, reliefs, and ground carvings. Four cultural theme gardens, 16 cultural pillars, 5 landscape pillars, and thematic sculptures respectively depict anecdotes of historical figures from Linyi, showcase the city’s long history and splendid culture, and highlight its profound cultural heritage and the theme of social harmony and development. The cultural garden has become an ideal venue for Linyi residents to engage in cultural and recreational activities, leisure, fitness, and personal enrichment, as well as an important window for showcasing the city’s image and charm and strengthening external cultural exchanges.
