Buddha Cave is a cultural heritage site protected by Jinan City.

Buddha Cave is located on the southern ridge of Qishan Guan Village, Lixin Subdistrict, Gangcheng District. It dates back to the Song Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

Qishan Guan Village: Qishan Guan Village is situated 21 kilometers southeast of Laiwu City and 4 kilometers east of Lixin Town. To the east lies Quanli Village, to the north Yangjialou Village, to the west Jiaojiazhuang Village, and to the south Qishan Mountain. In 2002, the village had a total of 199 households with a population of 543, all of whom were Han Chinese, and cultivated an area of 1,036 mu.

According to Records of Chinese Villages, Qishan Guan was initially built during the Northern Song Dynasty and was originally named “Dongzhen Guan.” During the Southern Song Dynasty, when the area was under the jurisdiction of the Jin people, Qiu Chuji, a renowned Taoist master known as the Longevity Realized One of the Quanzhen School, once resided here in seclusion. In the eighth year of the Taihe era (1208), Qiu Chuji petitioned the emperor to bestow a name upon the site, and the emperor named it “Dongzhen Guan.” At the end of the Yuan Dynasty...
