A provincial-level leisure fishery demonstration site. Located upstream of Xueye Lake in Xueye Town, Xueye Tourist Area, it is 2 kilometers from the Fanggan Scenic Area. It is a resort destination integrating leisure, fishing, fruit picking, and dining, featuring lush forests, verdant valleys, sparkling waters, and scenic spots such as the Osmanthus Garden, Bamboo Garden, and Lotus Terrace Jade Pool that delight the senses. The area’s orchards grow a variety of fresh and dried fruits—including peaches, apricots, chestnuts, jujubes, walnuts, apples, cherries, hawthorns, pomegranates, papayas, and grapes—for visitors to pick year-round. The reservoir allows for fishing, while the scenic area’s manor and Wanglaocun both offer accommodation and dining. The Tongtianyu Scenic Area developed by the village is among the first batch of leisure fishery demonstration sites in Shandong Province, boasting beautiful mountain-water views. Additionally, the village has built villa-style buildings suitable for agritainment hospitality, making it an ideal spot for rural leisure tourism.

Diaolan Mountain to the west of the village is a famous high mountain in Laiwu, with an elevation of over 900 meters. Between its two peaks lies an ever-flowing mountain spring that has never dried up, known as the “Crouching Dragon Spring,” which is the source of the Tongtian River. On the eastern side of North Diaolan, a massive rock several dozen meters high stands where the mountainside has split—locally called the “Dragon-Split Rock.” To the north of North Diaolan lies a narrow, deep valley that receives little direct sunlight year-round, resulting in lower temperatures and lingering snow even in May, hence its name “Frozen Valley.” To the east of the village stands an ancient chestnut tree with a trunk diameter of 1.5 meters and a crown diameter of 15 meters. Villagers do not know exactly when it was planted. Elderly residents in their 80s say it was already this size when they were children, and their grandparents had said the same. To this day, it remains lush and bears abundant chestnuts every year.
