The Moyun Mountain Terraces in Chaye Kou are located in Chaye Kou Town, Laicheng District, Laiwu City, dating back to the Yuan Dynasty.

On June 23, 2015, the Moyun Mountain Terraces in Chaye Kou were designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Chaye Kou Town: Chaye Kou Town in Laicheng District, Laiwu City, is situated at the foot of the ancient Qi-Lu Great Wall. It is a purely mountainous township covering an area of 185.6 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 60 administrative villages, 12,634 households, and a population of 36,000. The arable land area is 34,068 mu, and the forested mountain area spans 93,000 mu, with a forest coverage rate of 57%. The town enjoys a superior geographical location, bordering Zibo to the east, connecting to Zhangqiu Mingshui to the north, linking to the provincial capital Jinan to the west, and belonging to Laiwu to the south. It takes just one hour by vehicle to reach the farthest neighboring provincial capital, Jinan.
