Tongshan Ancient Copper Smelting Site

The Tongshan Ancient Copper Smelting Site is located in Tongshan Village, Miaoshan Town, Laicheng District. The site is divided into mining and smelting areas. The mining area is distributed across Tongshan Mountain and Tiaoliangshan Mountain. The smelting and casting area consists of the Nanyuandi Smelting Site, Shaoyazi Smelting Site, and Liumudi Smelting Site. Based on the discovery of coin molds for Banliang coins, Sanzhu coins, and Wuzhu coins, it is a copper smelting and coin casting site from the Han Dynasty.

Miaoshan Town: Miaoshan Town is located in the northeastern part of Laiwu City, covering a total area of 226 square kilometers with a population of 58,000. It administers 7 management areas and 85 administrative villages. In 2002, the town was awarded the title of Outstanding Work Performance Unit by the district party committee and government.

Miaoshan Town is bordered by Zibo to the north and Laiwu to the south, boasting well-developed transportation and a prominent geographical advantage. Within the town, the G205 Expressway, Provincial Road 803, the Xin-Da Railway, Yao Kou Road, and Miao Yan Road intersect, running through the entire area and providing convenient connectivity in all directions.
