The Purple Terrace Secret Chamber is a cultural relics protection unit of Jinan City.

The Purple Terrace Secret Chamber is located in Chaoyang Village, Gaozhuang Subdistrict, Laiwu District. It dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties and falls under the category of grotto temples and stone carvings.

On December 25, 1997, the Purple Terrace Secret Chamber was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit of Jinan City.

Gaozhuang Subdistrict: Gaozhuang Subdistrict is located in Laicheng District, Laiwu City, Shandong Province, and is named after the village of Gaozhuang where the local government is based. It borders Fengcheng Subdistrict across the Wen River to the north, neighbors Yanzhuang Town to the east, adjoins Niquan to the west, and shares a boundary with the watershed between Lianhua Mountain and Xinfu Mountain in Xinshi City to the south. It governs 90 administrative villages and covers an area of 150.7 square kilometers. In the early Hongzhi era of the Ming Dynasty, the Li family migrated here from Lijia Fengqiu and established the village. Since the site is on a high, flat area north of Mabuling, it was named Gaozhuang. The subdistrict’s territory consists of mountains, hills, and plains in roughly equal thirds.
