On December 30, 2004, the Black Dragon Pool Dragon King Temple in Laiwu was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site of Jinan City.
Dawangzhuang Town: Located in Laiwu District, Dawangzhuang Town boasts rich mineral resources such as gold, iron, quartzite, and granite. The stone processing industry is well-developed, with its “Laiwu Black” granite being exported both domestically and internationally as one of China’s premium stone varieties. Ginger cultivation is widespread, making it a nationally renowned “Ginger Capital.” An annual “Ginger King” competition is held, promoting the brand “Dawang Ginger, Ginger King,” with a current ginger planting area of 20,000 mu.
