Weishan Lake Park

Shandong Tengzhou Weishan Lake Park is located at the northeastern edge of the South Four Lakes, in the northwest of Tengzhou City, within the territory of Binhu Town. It lies to the north of Fu Mountain, borders Tengzhou Port to the south, and faces Weishan Lake to the west. Covering an area of 763

hectares, including over 100,000 acres of shallow lake surface as a red lotus viewing area, it is the largest in East China, has the most well-preserved ecology, the best wetland landscape, and is China’s premier lotus viewing destination. The park features over 50 attractions including the Red Lotus Square, Red Lotus Boutique Garden, Wetland Recreation Park, Leisure Resort Park, Water Amusement Park, Hundred Lotuses Poetry Corridor, Water Sightseeing, Island Exploration, Wetland Rafting, and Red Lotus Misty Rain. These blend tourism seamlessly with nature, culture, and the human living environment. It has gradually developed into an emerging hub for red tourism and patriotic education, serving as a new highlight extending the Tai Mountain–Qufu tourist route to the south, and contributing to Shandong Province’s new tourism framework of “one mountain, two waters, three sages.”

The scenic area includes zones such as the Red Lotus Culture Park, Wetland Recreation Park, Leisure Resort Park, Wetland Adventure Park, and Water Amusement Park. On Panlong Island, there is the Imperial Medical Pavilion and a small fishing village where heroes from the Railway Guerrilla unit, such as Captain Liu Hong and Fang Lin’s Sister-in-law, once lived. Featured attractions include vast expanses of red lotuses, miles of reed marshes, morning melodies at the dock, sunset over Weihu Lake, fishermen’s songs at dusk, tens of thousands of poplar trees, endless blue waters, snow-like fluttering reeds, and poetic lotus viewing. There is also the premier lotus sculpture in northern China, a Hundred Lotuses Viewing Garden, along with inscriptions and calligraphy by notable figures from ancient to modern times and across the world.
