Tengzhou Wang Family Ancestral Hall

The Tengzhou Wang Family Ancestral Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Wang Family Ancestral Hall is located on the south side of Fucheng Middle Road in Tengzhou city center. It was built in the ninth year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty and was a private ancestral temple specially approved by the Qing emperor for Wang Donghuai’s personal funding.

After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the ancestral hall was allocated for military use. In 1985, it was converted into a museum. A poem praises it: "In the western city’s Wang family shrine, the past and present flow as one; the museum houses a thousand treasures — to explore history, there's no need for the Forbidden City."
