Dakanliu Site

The Dakanliu Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Dakanliu Site is located in Dakanliu Village, Guanqiao Town, Tengzhou City, Shandong Province. There are two sites in total: Site No. 1 is situated 80 meters north of the village on the west bank of the ancient course of the Xue River, forming a riverside highland approximately 80 meters north-south in length, with an unknown width. Along the riverbank’s about 3-meter-high cliff, several ash pits and layers of dark soil are exposed, scattered with pottery fragments such as leg parts of li tripods, handles of dou vessels, rims of urns, bottoms of steamer baskets, fragments of black pottery basins, and parts of jar-shaped vessels. Site No. 2 is located about 50 meters northeast of the village on the riverside highland east of the ancient Xue River course, extending approximately 80 meters from east to west, with an unknown width. This site has suffered more severe damage. Both sites date back to the Zhou Dynasty.

In 2013, the Dakanliu Site was designated by the People's Government of Shandong Province as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in the province.
