Shicun North Site

The Shicun North Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Shicun North Site is located in Longyang Town, Tengzhou City. It dates back to the Neolithic Age through the Han Dynasty. In 2013, the Shicun North Site was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Longyang Town: Longyang Town is situated 5 kilometers north of Tengzhou City’s urban area, on the sunny side of Longshan Mountain and by the banks of Longhe River. It lies to the north of the hometowns of Confucius and Mencius, adjacent to the Suhuai Plain to the south, and borders the shores of Weishan Lake to the west. Covering a total area of 79 square kilometers, it has 54,000 mu of arable land and administers 55 administrative villages with a population of 71,000.

The town features a landscape of alternating mountains and water, beautiful scenery, abundant resources, and convenient transportation. The main peak of Longshan Mountain within its territory has an elevation of 415 meters, with 16 peaks over 170 meters in height stretching for 18 kilometers like a coiling dragon, rugged and undulating, with striking rocks and trees.
