The Former Site of the General Command of the Nanchang Uprising is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

At the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Shengli Road in Nanchang, near Xima Pool, there is a gray five-story building that was originally the "Jiangxi Grand Hotel." It was a well-known place in Nanchang, with 96 guest rooms. In late 1927, the uprising forces led by He Long arrived in Nanchang and took over the hotel. A meeting was convened in the celebration hall, during which the Frontline Committee of the Party was established, with [Name] as the secretary.

The "Jiangxi Grand Hotel" became the general command center of the Nanchang Uprising on August 1st. In 1957, the "Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall" was built on the site of the former headquarters. The memorial’s main gate faces the street, with a plaque inscribed with “Nanchang August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall” in the handwriting of Marshal Chen Yi hanging above the lintel. The first floor has been restored to its original appearance, including the celebration hall where leadership meetings were once held.

The second and third floors house four exhibition rooms. Additionally, rooms have been restored to their original states, including those of uprising leaders such as [Name] and Lin Boqu, as well as parts of the military staff office, guard company, and medical unit. Historical relics and photos from the period are also displayed, systematically introducing the historical background, detailed process, and great significance of the Nanchang Uprising for visitors to explore.

The second and third floors have been turned into four exhibition rooms and a commemorative room for inscriptions. A wealth of historical documents, charts, photos, relics, and inscriptions by veterans of the Nanchang Uprising vividly recreate the glorious history of the uprising. Room 25, where [Name] worked, Room 20, which served as both the office and bedroom of Lin Boqu, Room 9, the office of the Military Staff Committee, Room 10, where some uprising leaders stayed, are all preserved. Additionally, the third-floor exhibition features a collection of photos depicting the life of [Name].

In 1961, the Former Site of the General Command of the Nanchang Uprising was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the State Council.
