In February this year, KOMEDA opened its first directly managed store, the “Nanjing Jianguo Branch”, attracting many Japanophiles eager to try something new. It quickly became a hit in northern Taiwan, sparking long queues. The second directly managed store, the “West Lake Branch”, finally opened on December 7th at Taipei’s Neihu District after much anticipation from customers everywhere.

The interior design of KOMEDA’s Coffee’s second directly managed branch, the “West Lake Branch”, adopts the traditional style consistent with KOMEDA stores in Japan. It features abundant use of wood and brick elements to create soft tones. Comfortable booth seating paired with screen arrangements, along with semi-open spaces that appropriately ensure customer privacy, offer a natural-style atmosphere where one can fully relax as if at home.
“Full-Service” (with no additional service charge) is one of KOMEDA’s service features. From the moment customers press the service bell to order, receive their meals, to when they leave, all services are provided by in-store staff, all to deliver a warm, homely experience. KOMEDA adheres to the “spirit of treasuring coffee” by only offering its own specially developed high-quality coffee, sharing it with customers like a good friend.

In terms of food offerings, besides the unique breakfast culture where buying a drink gets you a free breakfast, the store also sells “Taiwan-exclusive” seasonal desserts and light Italian pasta, in sync with the Nanjing Jianguo Branch, ensuring that KOMEDA fans can enjoy delicious meals at any time of day.
