In the spring of 1926, Liu Yue, Liu Jiansan, Liu Pingsan, Dai Xiguang, and others held a secret meeting at Nanshan Ancient Temple to establish the CPC group in Duchang County, with Liu Yue as the leader, directly under the leadership of the Nanchang Branch of the CPC. The meeting resolved to use the area around Huzhou Mountain in Wangjiadun, Xujiafu, and Zuoli as a base for carrying out peasant movement activities, with Comrade Liu Jiansan in charge. Within a few months, the CPC group recruited a number of intellectuals and peasants to join the Party through running night schools for commoners and engaging in educational circles, greatly advancing the revolutionary activities of workers and peasants. They also secretly organized peasant associations to welcome the Northern Expedition. It was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit in 1984.
