Martyrs' Memorial Hall of Feng Ren

Feng Ren (1905-1930) was from Fengjia Village, Tutan Town. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1924. Starting in 1926, he successively served as Secretary of the Nanchang Local Committee of the Communist Youth League, Director of the Organization Department, Secretary to the Jiangxi Regional and Provincial Committees of the CPC, Committee Member and Secretary-General of the Provincial Party Committee. In December 1927, he became a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. In June 1928, he was appointed Propaganda Minister of the Provincial Party Committee, and by the end of that year, he acted as Party Committee Secretary, presiding over the Second Congress of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the CPC and reporting to the Central Committee on behalf of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee twice. In January 1930, he was transferred to become a member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the CPC, serving as Propaganda Minister and Secretary of the Peasant Affairs Commission, later acting as Party Committee Secretary of Hubei Province. On June 17 of the same year, he was arrested and on July 10, he was martyred in Wuhan at the young age of 25. Feng Ren was the highest-ranking and most influential early revolutionary figure working for our Party during the Great Revolution period in Jiujiang City.
