Turtle Rock and General Rock

Located halfway up Shenwu Mountain, these formations resemble a turtle about 5 meters in width, with a standing figure resembling a general atop it, around 3–4 meters tall and majestic in appearance—hence their respective names. These two granite rocks also have a legend: the turtle is said to be a deity that came from the Dragon Palace of the East Sea to Shenwu Mountain to guard the Sun family’s mountain. But just as it climbed halfway up the mountain, it was spotted by the Dragon King, who said, “This is outrageous—everyone wants to guard the mountain. Who will protect my Dragon Palace?”, and with a flick of his staff, he broke the turtle’s back, leaving it forever stranded and immobile on the mountain.
