Watching the sunrise atop Wulingyan allows you to witness the majestic sight of the sun rising over the high mountains. Due to its remote and undeveloped location, viewing the sunrise at Wulingyan requires arriving at the mountaintop the day before and watching the sunrise the next morning. At the right moment, as you look out over the sea of clouds, the overlapping mountain ranges shrouded in a thin morning mist become even more enchanting. In the distance, opposing peaks frame a streak of rosy clouds, with the soft glow of dawn gently diffusing across the pale blue sky. Soon after, a small arc of dark red appears where the rosy clouds meet the cloud layers. The fiery sun slowly emerges with an orange-yellow halo, radiating its warmth passionately toward the earth. The dark red deepens into vermilion, and the arc gradually becomes more complete—each hue grows more vivid and each shape more perfect, prompting spontaneous cheers from onlookers, celebrating the long-accumulated power finally being released.
