Lakeview Island

Lakeview Island, located in Guanlian Township on Wuning Lake, covers an area of 49.5 hectares. Though the hills are not particularly high, the views are expansive. Developed and invested in by Jiangxi Wandao Lake Tourism Development Co., Ltd., established in November 2001, the island currently features the Lakeview Pavilion and a pair of seven-story Lakeview Towers. From atop, visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery on the lake and the hundreds of surrounding islands that resemble lotus flowers. Guests can gaze out over the lake from different levels, each offering a unique perspective — making it an ideal spot to experience the feeling expressed in the line “To see a thousand miles, climb yet another storey.” The island also has a 500-square-meter double-decker circular Lakeview Restaurant where visitors can dine and relax. The Song Dynasty poet Zhou Yinghe’s quatrain “Gazing at the River Tower” finds an apt reflection here.
