Xinguang Farm

Xinguang Ecological Farm, located on the northern lakeshore of the county town, was first established in July 1997. It was invested and developed by Jiangxi Xinguang Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., which was founded in October 1999. The company has invested over 30 million yuan, acquiring the 50-year lease rights for 1,133 hectares of water area and 53.3 hectares of mountain land across five towns along Wuning Lake. It has built a large-scale ecological agricultural enterprise integrating aquaculture, fruit, tree and medicinal herb cultivation, accommodation, entertainment, and eco-tourism, and has been listed as a national key project under the “Spark Program” and the national “Glorious Cause.”

Xinguang Farm currently features a number of open natural and cultural attractions, including the “Three Hundred Garden,” Immortal Stone, Fishing Platform, hotel ballroom, and speedboat lake tours. The Three Hundred Garden consists of the Hundred Flowers Garden, Hundred Fruits Garden, and Hundred Trees Garden, covering an area of 40 hectares. The Hundred Flowers Garden is designed according to horticultural standards, featuring over 4,000 ornamental trees along scenic roads and more than 300 varieties of flowers and plants. The Hundred Fruits Garden has planted 15,000 fruit trees of over 20 categories and 50 varieties, including premium imported fruit varieties such as American Brown赘, Large Five-Star Loquat, and Chekui Large Fruit Bayberry. The Hundred Trees Garden includes over 3,000 trees that serve not only as specimens for collection and research but also as key sights for eco-tourism. The farm’s guesthouse can accommodate up to 80 guests.

Xinguang Farm is located in Songxi Town, Wuning County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, 130 km from Nanchang, 134 km from Jiujiang, and 200 km from Wuhan. It is a comprehensive agricultural tourism demonstration park. The farm was invested and built by Jiangxi Xinguang Group in 1997 with an investment of 40 million yuan, and officially opened to the public in 2002. The overall planned area of the farm is 25,000 mu, including 8,000 mu of land and 17,000 mu of water surface. It has developed into a large-scale ecological agricultural enterprise integrating aquaculture, fruit, tree and medicinal herb cultivation, accommodation, entertainment, and eco-tourism, and has been listed as a national key project under the “Spark Program” and the national “Glorious Event.” Currently open natural and cultural attractions at Xinguang Farm include the “Three Hundred Garden,” Immortal Stone, Fishing Platform, and Lotus Pond. The Three Hundred Garden consists of the Hundred Flowers Garden, Hundred Fruits Garden, and Hundred Trees Garden, covering 600 mu. The Hundred Flowers Garden is designed according to horticultural standards, featuring over 4,000 ornamental trees along scenic roads and more than 300 varieties of flowers and plants. The Hundred Fruits Garden has planted 15,000 fruit trees of over 20 categories and 60 varieties, including high-quality premium fruit varieties such as American Brown赘, Large Five-Star Loquat, and Dongkui Large Fruit Bayberry. The Hundred Trees Garden includes over 3,000 trees, serving both as specimens for collection and research and as important sights for eco-tourism. The farm has also constructed buildings such as the guesthouse, conference rooms, and dance hall, and purchased water recreation facilities including speedboats, cruise boats, and bamboo rafts. Nestled among the lake views, mountains, blue waters, and clear skies, Xinguang Ecological Farm is a beautiful scenic highlight along the shores of Wuning Lake.
