Changshui Village
Rural Tourism in Changshui: Luoping Town’s Changshui Village is situated on a branch of the Wulingyan Mountain Range extending northward from its central section in the Jiuling Mountains. It lies at the junction of the Wulingyan Scenic Area and the Lushan West Sea Scenic Area, not far from neighboring counties’ attractions such as Jing’an’s Sanzhaolun and Yongxiu’s Yunjushan. The area boasts abundant rural natural tourism resources, a rich diversity of flora and fauna, a forest coverage rate of up to 97%, and an outstanding ecological environment.
On April 20, 2007, the Premier of the State Council personally visited Changshui Village to inspect the reform of the forest tenure system and inscribed the words “Mountain-Water Wuning” for Wuning. He highly praised the achievements of Changshui Village's forest tenure reform, commending the reform experience encapsulated in the phrase “mountains with defined ownership, trees with rooted stability, and people with settled hearts.” The village has now essentially formed a layout that is “mountain-embracing, water-adjacent, staggered yet orderly, with lucid waters and green trees, and distinctive characteristics.” At the same time, it has guided farmers to establish unique rural restaurants, fishing spots, and highlighted agritainment tourism features such as “eating farmhouse meals, touring farmsteads, enjoying magical landscapes, and experiencing folk customs,” thereby boosting villagers’ income and prosperity. Today, Changshui’s agritainment facilities are fully equipped, integrating mountain climbing, sightseeing, fishing, boating, and dining.
