The thrilling yet safe Wulingyan Gorge Rafting is the only gorge rafting experience in northern Jiangxi. The starting dock of the Wuling Gorge Rafting is located beneath the archway of Jiuling Mountain Forest Park. Stretching 12 kilometers in total and divided into two sections, the rafting features rapid waters, peculiar rocks, mysterious caves, unique forests, beautiful mountains, and a deep, serene canyon. It is pristine, rustic, shrouded in mist, refreshing, poetic, and free from pollution. Rapids and pools are arranged in an engaging sequence. Navigating the “dangerous” rapids brings thrilling waves but remains safe. Drifting through deep pools, you can paddle along the currents, listen to birdsong, and watch fish swim—immersing yourself in the scenery while enjoying the boundless joy of connecting with nature. Being in this splendid place feels like traveling within a painting.

Along the route, you’ll encounter wonderfully magical sights: the graceful “Phoenix Pool,” the heart-pounding “Dragon King Shoal,” the enchanting “Jade Maiden Pool,” the exquisitely crafted “Twin Tortoise Rocks,” the mysterious “Immortal Pool,” and the lifelike “Toad Stone”... Nearby, you can hear the bell and drum sounds from Mituo Temple, gaze up at the steep cliffs of Wuwang Peak that touch the clouds, listen to the monkeys and birds in the gorge, admire the waterfalls and springs among the mountains, and take in the thousand-island expanse of Wuning Lake. What a true fairyland of Wuling—it’s truly a paradise on earth. The ancient and beautiful legends spark the imagination, while the thrilling yet safe rafting leaves visitors lingering with fond memories.

Scenic Spot Guide

From major cities, take the Changjiu Expressway (also known as the Fuyin Expressway) to the Aicheng exit, then head toward the Wulingyan Scenic Area.

There are shuttle buses available from Wuning Bus Station to the site, with more frequent services during holidays depending on passenger flow. For larger groups, you may also choose to hire a private car. Prices are negotiable—approximately 50 RMB one way for a van.
