Jingyuan Shuikou Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Jiangxi Province.

In Jingyuan Village, Shimenlou Town, at the southwestern edge of Wuning County, Jiangxi Province, near a place called Guanshankou, where green mountains line both sides of the river and a single bridge spans across, there stands a covered bridge named Shuikou Bridge. The body of the bridge is built from stacked stones, with a total length of about 21 meters, a width of about 5 meters, and a height of about 10 meters. The bridge is equipped with a brick-built shelter. This type of covered bridge is also known as a “rainbow bridge” or “centipede bridge.” The shelter serves to protect the bridge structure, while also providing shade from the sun, shelter from rain, and a space for people to rest, socialize, and gather. Shuikou Bridge was built in the 44th year of the Qianlong reign, which is 1779 AD, and has a history of over 200 years. At both ends of the bridge, there were once archways inscribed with two couplets: one was the classical verse “No through road ahead till sudden view of village fair,” and the other was an embedded-character couplet reading “Bright moon over mirror-like waters, boundless source flows to three rivers.” These have now collapsed.
